Jono was born in the heart of the UK in Leicestershire. From a young age he loved getting out and about with a camera, asking to borrow his parents film compact cameras to grab family photos.

This soon developed into his passion and asked for his own digital camera for his 10th birthday, which then never really left his side. Jono could always be found at family events and friends parties taking photos to turn those special moments into memories. 

Before too long he realised his father had a Film SLR and he wanted to start learning the art of photography, so after persuasion and a bit of reluctance his father allowed him to use his Canon AE1 to start capturing some images and learning from his creative mistakes. 

Jono then took this through to his college studies where he study photography and learnt dark room techniques as well as developing his editing and photoshop skills.

Jono's passion continued into his other hobbies and soon mixed with performance photography through theatre and live performance. Turning his hand to other career aspirations his proffesional photography fell hand in hand with time and allowed him to continue to grow.

As time developed the passion for capturing people and showing personality through images became a big thing for Jono where JDG Photography was originally born.
